Andersen approved installer: A2, A3 and Quartz — and bespoke chargers for the cars that deserve them

We're an accredited Andersen installer for the full current range — the flagship A2, the A3, and the newer Quartz — and we've fitted all three across West London for homeowners who want a charger that looks like it was designed for their house, not bolted onto it. It's the brand we reach for first when a client cares as much about how the charger looks as how it charges, and it's also the brand we turn to for something more unusual: fully bespoke, colour-matched installs for clients with Porsche, Rolls-Royce and other high-end cars on the drive, right down to ordering a one-off finish on their behalf.

Why Andersen sits at the top of the market

Andersen has built its reputation on treating a home charge point as a design object rather than a utility box. The A3 picked up a Platinum Award in the Product Design category at the 2024 London Design Awards, a European Product Design Award the same year, and was named Best Charger for Quality in What Car?'s 2024 home charger review. Andersen has also been named Chargepoint Manufacturer of the Year (Domestic) at the Electric Vehicle Innovation & Excellence Awards, and the brand currently holds an "Excellent" rating from thousands of reviewers on Trustpilot.

Independent reviewers back that up. T3 magazine put it plainly: "Andersen's chargers are high-end products", while Electrifying.com has described the A2 and A3 as the go-to choice for drivers who rank aesthetics highly, with a look that suits a period property just as well as a new build. Every unit is designed and assembled in the UK, comes with a market-leading 7-year warranty, and is smart-tariff and solar-ready out of the box — so the styling isn't a trade-off against substance.

A2, A3 or Quartz — which one suits your property?

All three share Andersen's signature "tombstone" silhouette and can be finished in more than 100 colour and material combinations, but they're built for slightly different jobs:

  • Andersen A2 — the flagship unit. The only one of the three available with a three-phase, 22kW connection, and the only one that takes the longer 8.5m cable. It's the charger we specify for larger properties, longer driveways, or homes with a three-phase supply already in place.
  • Andersen A3 — the multi-award winner mentioned above. Single-phase only with a 5.5m cable, but it shares the A2's hidden, self-cleaning cable storage and convenience lighting, at a lower price point. For most West London homes on a single-phase supply, this is the one we recommend first.
  • Andersen Quartz — the newest and most compact unit, available in socketed or tethered form, and priced to bring Andersen's design language to a wider range of budgets. It gives up the hidden-cable party trick but is around a third shorter and less than half the width of the A2.

Bespoke chargers for Porsche, Rolls-Royce and private clients

Where Andersen really comes into its own is on the bespoke side. Beyond the standard colour range, Andersen offers a Custom Palette service and can produce a genuinely one-off panel for clients who want something no one else on their street will have — a wood or carbon fascia, a paint finish lifted straight from their car's colour code, or a design that ties in with a specific architectural scheme.

As an approved installer, we manage that whole process for our clients rather than leaving them to navigate it alone. For private clients with a Porsche, Rolls-Royce or other high-end car on the drive, that typically means:

  • Sourcing a bespoke or limited-edition fascia, including wood, carbon and custom paint options, and placing the special order with Andersen directly on the client's behalf
  • Colour-matching the charger to the car's paint code, or to the property's existing joinery, stonework or door furniture
  • Positioning and first-fix electrical work planned around the car itself — cable length, mounting height and approach angle, so the unit works as well as it looks
  • A single point of contact from initial site survey through to the final sign-off, so the client deals with us, not a call centre
You've already spent serious money on the car. It's worth spending a little more thought on what it plugs into. Preetam Bassan, Bas Construction

None of this is about badge value for its own sake. It's that once a client has invested in a car worth six figures, or renovated a period property to a high standard, a generic black plastic box on the wall undermines the whole effect. Andersen's willingness to go fully bespoke — and our experience managing that process end to end — means the charger becomes part of the design, not an afterthought.

What's included with every Andersen install

  • A free, tailored site survey — virtual or in person — to confirm supply, routing and the best position for the unit
  • Consumer unit and supply checks, with any upgrade work quoted up front rather than discovered on the day
  • Full OZEV grant handling where a property is eligible
  • Andersen's 7-year manufacturer warranty, backed by our own workmanship guarantee

If you're weighing up Andersen against Pod Point, EO or Hive, we'll give you an honest steer based on your property and budget — see our full EV charging page for how the brands compare, or get in touch directly if you already know Andersen is the one.
